Underneath it’s a Pontiac Grand Prix. On top it’s a stunning neo-classic Stutz Blackhawk designed by Virgil Exner and hand-built in Italy during the 1970s and ‘80s.  Detroit was in its malaise period, but this product of the classically-named, New York-based Stutz Motor Car of America stood out.  It was opulent.  And expensive.  Up to $300,000+ in 2022 money.  Owners included Liberace, Lucy, Dean, Elton, Frank, Sammy, Al Pacino, Billy Joel, Bob Goulet, Dick Martin, George Forman, Jerry Lewis, Johnny Cash, Lou Brock, Muhammed Ali, Paul McCartney, Wayne Newton, Willie Nelson and more. Over 600 cars were manufactured and sold to the day’s elites.
