1962.  Carroll Shelby, a Texas chicken farmer and racer, stuffs a 260 cu. In. Ford V8 into a British AC sportscar chassis and calls his creation a Cobra.  The 260 shortly turns into a 289 and within a couple of years, a monstrous 427.  The combination of a high-powered V8 and a light nimble sportscar chassis turns the world on its ear.  Wanna race?  Uhhh, maybe second Tuesday of next week.  Talk about making a splash, in January 2021 at a Mecum auction in Kissimmee, FL, Mr. Shelby’s personal 1965 427 sold for a fee-inclusive $5.94 million.  You can have one of only 24 of these limited-edition images of the original at Pebble Beach on canvas, metal, or glass for as little as 1/10,000^th of that ... even less.   Comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the digital artist.
